What is PDF Split?

Extract only the pages you want from a PDF into a new file. docsevery's PDF Split shows every page as a preview thumbnail, so you can see what's on each page and pick exactly what you need. Combine continuous ranges and individual pages freely (e.g., 1, 3, 5-7, 12). Original text and quality are preserved.

How to use

  1. 1.Drag a PDF file onto the drop zone, or click to select.
  2. 2.All pages appear as thumbnails automatically.
  3. 3.Click pages to select them. Use Shift + Click to select a range at once.
  4. 4.Use 'Select All', 'Invert', or 'Clear' buttons for quick adjustments.
  5. 5.Click 'Extract X pages' to download the new PDF with only your selected pages.

Frequently asked questions

Q. Can I extract non-contiguous pages?

Yes. Click pages to toggle them individually — selected pages don't have to be consecutive. You can extract pages 1, 3, 5-7, and 12 all at once.

Q. How does Shift+Click work?

Click one page, then hold Shift and click another. Every page between them gets selected (or deselected) at once. Great for selecting big ranges quickly.

Q. What order are pages in the extracted PDF?

Selected pages appear in the new PDF in their original order. So picking 1, 5, and 3 produces a PDF with pages in 1 → 3 → 5 order.

Q. Why are thumbnails slow to appear?

Large PDFs or many-page documents take time to render thumbnails. Progress is shown at the bottom of the page. All rendering happens in your browser.

Q. Is text searchable in the extracted PDF?

Yes. Original text content is preserved, so search, copy, and highlight all work normally.

Q. Are files uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser.
